Well need to put this jn words
Yesterday me and my best friend was having a chat after a Interview.
Here is the background I am in product domain from a tier 1 college, he is in software engineering domain from a good state government college.
I told him I am getting a lot of interview calls but I am not able to convert them, may be I am taking interviews for granted.
Then he told something which is still inside my head, he mentioned atleast you are getting interviews I am trying from last 2 months and was able to get only 2 interviews because of my college. It hit me hard am I talking these opportunities too casually. And is this what we call we takes things we have for granted.
I am targeting APM roles so my compitition is with people with high YOE but still.
Then I felt taking all these interviews seriously.
These was a pain in his voice.
"Bhai pad le crack ho jayega mst pesa hoga tujhe interviews Dene ka moka toh mil rha h atleast"

Ohh people who hire APMs are themselves frauds, hence they would want another useless kid with 0 knowledge of real work.
As per engineers and actual techies, its common to not see openings before 2 years. The moment 2 year barrier is broken, its like the floodgates broken.
Dont feel sad for him, he will be fine. You first stop being a fraud fck taking up PM role with 1 YOE.
🤦I am seriously worried about the corruption of soul of kids getting off college and begging product management right away. They are like those who never knew what it means to really work and build something for real.
You guys will be dangerous fakers your whole life. Learn to actually build something first🤦
