Trending @Accenture; Quick question about leave 🙂

I’m planning to take a 5-day leave in June—whether it’s sick or casual, I just need the time off. Is there a simple way to apply for it without any hassle? Would really appreciate any tips or help...how to apply for leave or if i can get 5 day sick leave or not.... anything any idea will be good

For sick leave of more than 2-3 days, you might be asked to submit medical docs. And in case of casual leave, only 2 consecutive casual leaves are allowed at a time. Use your earned leaves for all 5 days. Or another alternative is to just get approval from your people lead/ reporting manager over mail approving your leave request. And then in myte mark first 2 days of your vacation as casual leave, 3rd day as sick leave and last 2 days again as a casual leave. Hope this will help....

If i will be able to provide a bed rest prescription from any hospital in my hometown will i be able to get sick leave for 5 days if yes will it be paid or unpaid

Not sure if just a bed rest prescription would be enough to approve your leave request. But if it gets approved and you have balance of 5 days sick leave in your time and expense report, It'll be paid leave (nothing from salary will be deducted). Only the sick leave balance will get reduced.

Just say, you're going on a week long vacation, if you have a good manager, you will get approval right away, Also you can't take more than 3 day consecutive sick leave, otherwise you have to give proof for medical, and that only if HR asks
