Questions about Schengen Visa

Really really really want to travel to Europe this year for a 3 week solo trip but unfortunately the visa process seems to be a buzzkill

I’ve heard people wait for 6 months and still not get their visa, despite following all proper procedures

If anyone’s recently travelled, I wanna know:

• Which country has the shortest visa processing time?
• Is there anything you do differently that can fast track your acceptance?
