Question to working women professionals- who are yet to get married.

Would you consider a prospect who earns less than you?

-Yes, would consider it.

-No, it's a no brainer-would straight away reject it.

Yes and no both.

If I know the guy, love the guy, know the guy will not be insecure of the wealth and know our relationship will not be affected by the comments the society may pass. But since im not lucky enough to be among the chosen ones to have a love marriage. Lets talk AM.

Been in the marriage market for a while. I met this guy through AM. No filters for salary. I was then earning 26lpa with 21 base and the guy 16lpa. Had 1 decent conversation, the guy's mom said we want a girl who can quit her job. And then another, earner lesser than me, wants me to quit my job and relocate for him. And then another.

Now I do. I can't control how someone's ego works. I can control how it affects my relationship

This-relocating or quitting job for marriage, really is a wrong expectation. Why would you tell others to change their way of life..

Tell me one thing,

You married someone today who has a higher package than you, but after a couple of years of marriage your package becomes more than him, will you leave him ?

Why though, if I were a girl, why would I settle down for someone who earns less than me, provided the patriarchal society (I don't like it) we live in.

Less is ok but not by a lot. Sometimes money is a sensitive topic in relationships. I have no experience in that but I know it.
