Trending @Accenture; 🟡 Question: Is Residential Address in Base City Mandatory Under New WFO Policy?
Hi all, Under the new Work From Office policy, I understand that weekly attendance at the base location is mandatory. But I’m a bit confused about the residential address requirement.
Is it mandatory to have a permanent/temporary residence in the base location city (e.g., Kolkata)? Or is it acceptable if I travel from my hometown/village, which is around 700 km away, every week for office attendance?
Would really appreciate it if someone who has clarity or experience with this can help.

Just give your relatives or friends address in the city or else give your home address and if they enquire just say you thought they were asking your home address as in your adhar card for example
I don’t really have close friends or relatives in the city to use their address, and I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable by asking. HR already communicated the residential address rule, so I can’t really give excuses. I have to take leave to travel to and from the office, and I’m concerned that I might expose my actual location. Just wondering — is it really mandatory to update the address to the base city? And what happens if someone continues using their hometown address?
