The plan is to work till 50 and build a retirement corpus in the meantime.

How much do you think the retirement corpus be?

There are many calculators out there but generally it should be 30X of your current annual expenses.

Every person I know is considering teaching as their retirement plan.

Teaching in college or private tuitions?

Although I haven't reached mid 30s, but increase your networth as much as possible by the time you reach mid 30s. Such that taking couple of months to a year shouldn't feel stressful.
And if you are able to reach retirement figures by that time, then to no comfy life.
Try increasing your primary source of income as much as possible first. I know 2cr guys who haven't reached 30s. Once primary income is sorted, you can think of other sources or other countries.

Do some low pressure task, like occasional consulting assignments, or teaching / training / tutoring for some pocket money, until the day I die 😊
