Question for all the online retailers.

I'm thinking of starting an online retail through social media sales but I've got no idea as to how the shipping of products works.

How do I ship my products? The packaging, boxes, operations etc. How to tie up with a delivery partner, how to intimate the customers with a tracking code. How to manage the orders at my end as in how and where do I document it and maintain a record of it.

How does the shipping part work?
