Question about C1 to C2 Promotions at TCS
Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some clarity on how promotions from C1 to C2 band work here at TCS. My manager told me that they get a special "list" early on, and once they have it, they'll put my name forward for promotion. Since I've been with TCS for 3.6 years, I'd love to know if this is generally how C1 to C2 promotions happen. If it is, could anyone give me an idea of when these lists usually come out this year? Also, once a manager submits someone's name, how long does it typically take for the promotion to become official? Any insights or advice you can offer would be really helpful.
No promotions in near future…we can expect it in 2026-27 financial year.
It's all controlled by the manager and supervisor, you won't be able to see or track the whole process, they could even lie about giving promotion recommendation a.k.a ( forwarding your name on list) and do nothing in reality, just keep asking about this with your manager and hopefully one day you will see a compensation mail
Tbh right now even if they give the promotion the actual salary hike won't be much going to increase they might even give out 10-12% and call it promotion
Don't keep much hope
When can we expect promotion window will open ??
