Query regarding Promotion Criteria in TCS.

Hi Everyone,

As a fresher I joined TCS in 2022. I have a total work experience of around 2.54 years in TCS. I got my grade promotion from C1Y(Assistant Systems Engineer) to C1(Systems Engineer) in TCS this year. Till now my last 2 band appraisals in TCS are A. So when can I expect my next grade promotion to happen in TCS that is from C1 to C2(IT Analyst)?

Can anyone here share the promotion criteria for TCS? How grade promotion is carried out in TCS?

Expect your next promotion after 4 years in C1. Promotions are quarterly, but heavily depend on manager's nomination and corporate approval. The process is opaque and can be unpredictable.
