Query regarding career levels @IBM

Hello,

I am working as a SAP Basis Consultant with 5.8 YoE at Accenture. I am planning to switch to IBM and have been offered a Package Specialist designation in 06B band. Do you think this aligns with my work experience?

Please help me understand career levels at IBM.

6B is the expected band for your experience. If in your previous role you were a team lead/ tech lead you could ask for 7A. It is expected that 7+ yrs experience for 7A.

Experience doesn’t matter for band . Band is decided with your expected ctc . I got 7b with 3 year of experience in ibm

You should be given 7A. May be you negotiated low. IBM doesn’t give any hike or bonus so it’s all fixed or nothing
