Quarterly variable pay in TCS is way to improve company margins/profits

TCS policies are useless and unjustifiable to deduct quarterly variable pay based on Work from office attendance. No matter what is the performance of employees.

Non sense work from office policy, if you just come to office for swap in and out that is also considered as 100% attendance. No matter, how much you work you do from office, just to visit to see office infrastructure and return back.

I hate such baseless policies and people who designed it.

TCS quarterly profit is purely coming from employee salary deduction.

They run a business. They want us to return to office. If some of us are not listening, do you think there will be no consequences?

They chose QVA for the consequences.

Whether or not WFO is needed is a different topic altogether. It is their business, they get to make the rules.

By 'they' you mean CEO? Or anyone else. Because whomever you include in 'they', do not represent TCS alone. 'You' are as much a part of TCS as 'they'. So while you are in TCS it's not their business, it's our business. Or if you are talking about ownership then buy some shares, but owners usually do not make rules.

Whether WFO is needed, and if there should be consequences to WFO non-compliance are different topics altogether.

They - TCS promoters, executive leadership. Those who are in the position to make decisions and enforce them

We - are in a position to only follow them.

Guys

It's not like TCS is giving yearly Hikes for us. It's we giving them yearly Hikes from our Variable Pay.

True that, the one and only option is to find opportunity outside , No point in crying over split milk before the quarter arrives take it as a challenge and move out rather than feeling disheartened. Not sure what new surprises are awaiting as penalty for RTO non compliance in upcoming days😒

Work from Office is due to pressure from government to revive the economy post covid. Government has linked tax incentives for companies implementing WFO. That’s the real reason why all this drama. Actual culprit is the government.

You are the game changer buddy. I was expect this answer from anyone from past 1.5 months. But none has understood what is behind WFO. Karnataka congress govt free scheme has impacted most of companies to WFO. Otherwise TCS has concluded for hybrid model I guess. It all started when free schemes were introduced by the Karnataka govt. Simply we are pointing to TCS.

It’s not Karnataka government but central government. WFO mandated across the country. Reason is the government trying to revive the poor economic condition . Central government has managed the economy very badly.

Even with more than 85% wfo index they are paying 30-40% qva only for the last 4-5 quarters. Yes their business their rules but then have some transparency at least.

I got 10% variable pay for 75% WFO index, 100% deployment index since I joined TCS.

With this culture, going forward only company will get benefited. Np growth for employees irrespective of who is doing what.

Its their turf, of course we need to oblige. We always have a option to switch if we don't like it.

They have to provide money to charities rather than looking after own employees.

100% RTO, 50% QVA.

If you were on batch for around two month, and deployment index is around 35% for previous quarter(April to june). But your RTO is 92%. And your QVP also deducted. Is DI the reason for deduction of QVP?

Variable Pay

TCS has linked it's variable pay with attendance.

Is TCS only a company taking such hard steps or some others are in queue.

Why is TCS so hard suddenly. As it had a policy earlier like 25-25. ( 25% attendance by 2025).
