Hii when i spoke with my manager he said something like, my name is on the list for eligible to promotion but we need to wait for the final confirmation like that. Can anyone explain what does it mean?

Final promotion has to be approved by BU persons and HM will get the approved list this week. Your HM mentioned this as a final confirmation.
