Python role vs generalist backend role
Guys, I have an offer for Python SDE2 from an OTT company. The job description itself says it's a "Python" role.
Would it hamper my future employment opportunities if I stuck with Python for say two years?

Not really. But other startups building in python would certainly want you with them at that point

That's true, but like, losing a generalist track is kinda worrying me. Like, I don't wanna be rejected from generalist SDE roles at, say, FAANG companies.

When you put it in Linkedin or resume, don't put it as Python developer, put it as SDE. So, now you are an SDE who used python in current org
Like how FAANG sde are using a specific language (amazon uses Java) in them
