PwC Toxic culture - Rejected pregnancy WFH request

My cousin has been working in PwC since long ago. She is pregnant now and applied for WFH as she is really weak and the Doctor suggested her to fully avoid travel and work, to take a good rest as it might seriously affect her pregnancy. Despite considering her family issues, instead of taking a break or applying for medical leaves, she applied for WFH which even got rejected even after providing the medical certificate and all related support tests.

Can anyone expect what the TC team said?

They directly rejected her WFH request saying that there is no medical complication in it and you are required to come to the office without missing the WFO policy till you are with My cousin has been working in PwC since long ago. HOW WORST IS PWC… Really non-bearable of their behaviour towards a pregnant women…

No other company can beat PwC for their toxic environment towards employees and I’m sure this company will not be there in the list for long time. Additionally, I was wondering how PwC is certified as a great place to work every year, might be it’s a paid certificate. non-bearable of their behaviour towards a pregnant women…

On the other hand my friends in PWC, Bangalore are enjoying WFH and so far haven't seen their office ever since they joined.

It's mostly the same with all the big4s. People die here due to stress and workload and only thing that these capitalist firms do is cover it up so their image is clean - not an ounce of empathy

Escalate. Forward their mail to CHRO, CEO, senior women leaders in the org.

She's anyway going to have to leave. Might as well go with guns blazing.
