PwC document verification and offer release

Recently, I was interviewed at PwC. Both my technical and managerial rounds went well. Shortly after, I received an email from HR asking me to submit documents for verification. I have submitted the documents but have not heard back from HR. I'm tensed now, It has already been two weeks and I have sent multiple followup emails but received no response. Does this mean I got rejected? or should I wait a few more days to get an offer? Anyone faced similar issues please help
