Put on unofficial PIP as a fresher — should I be worried?
I joined my current company about 7 months ago as a fresher (first job). Today, I had a feedback session with my manager who mentioned that my performance in the last quarter (Jan–March) wasn't satisfactory.
He said that I’ll be put under an unofficial PIP for the next month where my work will be closely monitored. If I don’t show improvement or meet expectations, I’ll be formally put on a PIP.
I’ve been trying to learn and improve, but honestly, it’s been tough keeping up — especially since I’m the most junior on the team. I do want to get better, but this has me feeling worried ans anxious.
Should I be worried? Is this a sign they’re already planning to let me go? Any advice on how I can handle this situation or bounce back would mean a lot.
