Most apps send push notifications like:

“𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝟮 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀.” 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹. 𝗔𝗻𝗱? 😐

But what if your app said:

😂 Funny? Yup. 💡 Relatable? Definitely. 🎯 Effective? Hell yes.

I recently added a fresh twist to our push notifications — inspired by none other than Zomato’𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦. (𝗜𝗳 Zomato 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝟮𝗮𝗺, 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗼.)

Instead of just reminding, I started engaging. A little wit, a dash of empathy, and some playful nudges = better retention & real connection with users.

Not every notification needs to feel like a system error. Make it feel like a friend checking in.
