If I'm an artist popular across the globe and if I'm being asked to perform (by being paid a bomb) at an audience that has some of the world's most richest crowd, why wouldn't I? And what exactly is the humiliation here? I don't get it.
You get paid a bomb and your competitor artist gets paid 100x the bomb amount. You are given public transport and your competitor artist gets Rolls Royce :)
Okay, I thought you were particularly asking about Rihanna since you mentioned her in another comment. And, without doubt she is the bigger star here. Professionals understand this very well and they don't usually have an issue. That's how the entertainment industry works. People don't resign like corporates just because someone else gets paid more.
