Prorated Eligible Salary

in my work day in compensation i see a comment “Prorated Eligible Salary - for 12 month annualization”. Do any one know what does it mean?

It must be for the variable component in you ctc. Generally Variable pay/ performance bonus is as per pro rata basis.
