Hi Everyone, I had no increment for the past 2 and half years. Assume my annual salary to be X. Now In Feb, I have received annual increment of around 7%. So revised compensation is say Y = X + 7%. Also In March, I have been promoted from jl4 to jl5 and received a salary increment as part of this which is say Z = X + 15%. Shouldn't the promotional hike be based on revised compensation i.e. Y + 15% ? Can anyone guide me ?

No
It's like
Y = X + (7% of X) + (15% of X)
If the effective dates are same for both hikes

It would be better if you got a promotion and hike cycle in different quarter.
Then you can expect like you mentioned.
Now all percentage goes with your current salary

Yes the effective date is same for both. But I don't get your calculation you are saying I will a new letter with Final revised compensation as Y = X + (7% of X) + (15% of X). As I have received two letters.
