Hello everyone, I am eligible for promotion to associate this year in July month but this year in the month Feb I was released from the project, and currently on a bench looking for a project

Is it important to be in a project to get a promotion to associate?

For promotion these are following Criteria to be fulfilled

  1. 2 years in Cognizant
  2. YEA should be more than 2
  3. Utilisation of last year should be more than 70%
  4. TruTime should be updated
  5. Approval from Business Unit

YEA means Year end rating.

Associate can be promoted through IJM program as well. Even if you meet all the promotion criteria, It all boils down to the BU/location leads whether they want to promote you or not.

Does skillup completion play a role in the promotion ?

Not directly but indirectly it will because you will have 30% weightage of skill up in the YEA, if the YEA is not good the hike will differ so it effects indirectly to promotion
