Despite a two-year tenure as an ASE, I have not yet received a promotion or salary hike. Current Package:3.68LPA

, now my lead is telling me that they may promote me in January. Is possible to get promoted in January. It seems they are just SCAMMING ME.

search the jobs outside, follow one rule- till 9-10 yr experience try to switch atleast 4 5 companies, get counter offers.

Don't depend on any company's hike and vp.
Be up to date with your tech stack.

I Agree but there are very less opportunities outside i thought to switch once I’ll get promoted but they disappointed me:(

Prepare for the switch while waiting for promotion. Try giving the interviews.

Yes it is possible, quarterly promotions are also there. Specially for ASEs and then for some really critical resources at other levels.

That's not true, one of my ASE got promoted this year september and got 23% hike.
