Promotion Promise worth a wait or Not
Completed 3 years in TCS was getting offers from a company was planning to put a paper but my manager is promising that he will recommend my name for promotion this q1... Is it worth a wait for a word of his
Promise in TCS is a joke💀
In November 2022, My manager was leaving the project for some other one; I was asked to become the team lead and handle more responsibilities, I asked if this would be a promotion and was told that this is indeed a promotion and that they will initiate the same. I started handling more tasks and managing the Cloud team with the promise of the promotion going through in the next quarter. Fast forward to the present, I have quit the company with no promotion as promised. So if you are getting a hike, please consider that and don't waste time in the promotion trap.
Don't trust manager. Get 50 or 60 percent hike leave
No meaning , after a quarter your manager will ask you to wait for the next quarter...Mamy promotion is pending since a long time 😉
Seriously, why even wait if you are getting 100% hike...unless you are not confident about your survival in this cut throat competition and you qant to have a job regardless of fake promises, then TCS is best place to be at.
