I joined Infosys as a Senior Associate Consultant due to my prior experience, while my batchmates joined as Associate Consultants. After a year, many of them have been promoted to Senior Associate Consultant, whereas I haven't received a promotion yet. I’ve consistently performed well, and both my manager and project manager have expressed satisfaction with my work. I was wondering if there is a minimum time period or specific eligibility criteria required for promotion to the Consultant role. Can anyone answer please.

I got the same progression today from assoc to senior assoc, let me tell you this, there's no criteria + there is no change in compensation if we get progression not promotion. So chilll

Thanks for the reply, but i was little curious to know whether there's a minimum time requirement before moving into a consultant role.

AC to SAC is progression and not promotion. Progression happens a little faster than promotion since there won't be any hike involved. Generally for promotion minimum 2 yrs role maturity is needed to become eligible.

Yes it’s short end of the stick. If you had just 1 year prior experience then no issues . But if you had more them it’s loss. Usually acon to sacon is 1-1.5 years . Sacon to con will take 2+ years at Barr minimum with overall exp more than atleast 3 for mba folks

There are no monetary benefits in the same grade promotion like from JL 4B to 4A, while grade will change from JL4 to JL5 the minimum amount (based on your current package) would be increased as per company norms. Apart from that individual performance, i- count rating, ways of working, skills are noticed for promotion. There may be some other criteria. You reach out to your manager for more clarity.

Your salary must be doubled compared to guys those got promoted, so chill bro
