Can manager defer our promotion even after we fulfill all the criteria?
Not possible. Nowadays manager has nothing to do regarding promotion. Everything will be decided by BU and HR.
I got tagged to project recently like 2 week earlier and when enquired about promotion my Hm said will defer your promotion as you are new to project that’s why I am enquiring
No even BU and leads will say the same that he has recently joined our project so will defer him for this quarter
I have 5 star rating and I do have experience of 3.3 years as of now in Cognizant and I am still pa as I got to know that bu head is cancelling it for not properly following up with wfo mode. Ssly I don’t believe this, I do work from office 2 times a week as per our project policy, yet they always come up with some stupid excuses, withholding my promotion. Honestly if you don’t have a good HM who doesn’t atleast opens up his voice or doesn’t take your stand infrony of bu. Its useless🥺
What if the scenario is opposite..? Means what if managaer and EDL (Engagement delevery lead) raise a exception request for RTO for a particular PA who is satisfying all the criteria except RTO..
Then HR will promote or not?
