Promotion depends on rating and after every 18 months you can be promoted if your manager want

It is disabled because your job role is less than your current band/designation, promotion option will come up if job role is equal to or greater than current designation. This job role would come from assignation and you can check it under my project assignation. This can be corrected but i guess he/she would have already submitted the annual appraisal so no use of correcting it now.

However, this alone should not stop your promotion.He/She can still get it done if your manager feels you deserve one by talking to his manager and above. Some managers think you are not eligible per policy but thats not the case usually, it all boils down to the role that was added in system.

This is one of the most stupid excuses I ever heard.!! In my project the whole leadership is getting promotion except for the people who are actually working.!!!
