Trending @Accenture; Promotion = Loss
I see a lot of people expecting and asking about promotions but trust me its not worth rather if at all you get promoted it would be a net loss for you. The reason for this is the promotional hikes will be a joke this time a mere 12-15% or maybe even lesser and this is across ATCI so no matter how hard you have worked or how many certifications you did it simply dosent matter your performance dosent matter!! People receive infact I myself have received 15% hike without promotion and this time its with promotion (could be less also) however your work will increase exponentially you will be pulled into unnessary calls and asked to collate some shitty data asked from management, you be asked to solve other peoples problems, you will spend most of your day in absolutely meaningless calls. So if all you get promoted work for 3 months get your 3 months payslip (needed during switch) and leave!!

Lol, what if we're already working at a level higher than ours. Doesn't hurt to get validated via a promotion or a decent hike.

"Decent" hike lol .. these two things dont go hand in hand and shouldnt be beside each other 😂....even if you are a director this is still valid

In this economy 10% is decent. That being said, I will take the first good opportunity to leave this company

Agree with you But getting nothing is better than getting something

Maybe true but also realize the work you will be burdened with is not at all proportional with the increment in salary it will not be worth it!

I learned this the hard way try saying No when you are overburdened or not getting paid for the work. That's the only suggestion I can give but ultimately learn the technology and move to different organization. Accenture is not sustainable in next few years

Very obvious. If the company can't make revenue upto the mark, how can it give huge hikes and promotion. According to the market scenario 15% hike with promotion is also huge. As all other big market players in it sector has halted hikes or very less hikes.

The company will never make revenue when it comes to compensating its own employees but it has all the revenue in the world when they hire externally giving 100+% hikes. Also if you are comparing with Tcs, infosys and others then none of them stalled hikes for 3 consecutive years like Accenture did...it has become a silent norm in this company that only promotees and market correction folks will get hike. It has simply stopped valuing its employees and just another Tcs 2.0 atleast Tcs has job security this one doesnt even have that. And at the end they send mails like Accenture ranks among best places to work...lol what a joke!

You can switch to any other organization and then again come back to Accenture with 100%hike after 2-3 year.

Thik h…Aur kuch?

Haan primary skill ka toh pata nahi par manager k buttering mein atleast P4 hona chahiye

Better to switch with a higher salary. Also, something is better than nothing and if the management wants then they can still give you unnecessary work irrespective of your level. I have seen people at analyst level handling a lead's job.

Jo kuch mil rha h leke nikal jao

Bro its Saturday so ja

With promotion our salary range falls on a higher bracket, so there are chances that we will get market adjustment hikes 😉
And also with promotion the variable pay range increases... So that's also a +

IT industry is run by modern day Tuglaqs. Who promote not on qualifications and skills and based on favouritism. Just came back watching the play Tughlaq where the mad king makes copper brass gold and silver of the same value. Today’s IT industry managers treat BCom, Bsc, BE, MSEE the same
