Promotion in TCS
When can we get promoted from c1 to c2 and what percentage of hike will be there?
I recently joined in TCS in 2022 I have completed 2 years in tcs and having 4+yrs of experience
For me it's initiated since 3 years and it's not happening... In tcs 5.3 years experience already
One of my friends promotion got rejeceted due to WFO compalinace and last year one of my other friend got ITA which she applied on last june or july and it got approved on November end. She said most of the times the promotion stuck with HR approval and her manager did many follow ups to get it approved.

The promotions are like tossing a coin. With the least probability of getting approved. They just want to extend the minimal wage labour for years with a fake tag of promotion. And that too the percentage won't go more than 12 - 15% after waiting for years if you're lucky enough. Not to demotivate but don't fully depend on these luck based promotions. Improve your skills on good technology and learning. You will find better opportunities, this world is pretty huge after all. Just some suggestions.
