I have been working as a SA since 2021 in the Cognizant. When can I expect my next level role change? What is the procedure?
Similarly I have been working as Associate since 2021 Dec when I joined Cognizant. How can I apply for promotion from A to SA. Please if someone can let me know.
@Sniper96 look for promotion eligible SO for your skill in the talent market place. Nowadays it's the only way to get promoted to SA+ level.

Many of my colleagues are having ~12 yr exp and waiting for their manager promotion. We got information like it's not something like automatic promotion like pa to a and to sa. It's all about individual skill set and your dependency. And also there is one guy who having 16yrs experience still waiting for promotion. Better to change project.
If you feel you have reached next level please start applying for M level roles. SA - M promotion is not easy and unless there is a requirement or yearly account level target in your project it will not be done.
you can get promoted in just a week....just mail to your manager that your putting your papers
I recently asked my manager in YEA about my ratings and promotion....they said you wroked well and all and we wanted to give 4 but die to normalisation (bull shit excuse) we are giving 3 again this year just like the last 2 years bcoz of their higher manager.
keep up the good work, extra work, overtime and weekend work and you might get promotion in next cycle or 6 months.
i am telling you if i put the papers down if i get offer they will give me hike and promotion right away
I have recently joined after my ML in September 2024 in the same project. I have been working on the same project since 2021 as a SA. My manager said that I am not eligible for the M role now. Still i have to serve in SA for a year. Maybe After a year i will get a chance to promote. My question is, is there any such a criteria for ML employees ?
Please ask your home manager to get promote to a manager position .
