Promotion from C1 to C2 in TCS

Shall I ask my manager raise a request regarding my promotion from C1 to C2 as I completed 2 years in TCS and 6 years of over all experience?

I think the minimum requirement for C2 is 2 years total experience.

C2 is for 4 or 4.5 yrs above total YOE.

My brother with 8 yoe in tcs told me that you are eligible for C2 after 2 yoe. He was lead lead as well. He might be wrong.

Of course you can ask. Getting it approved is another matter altogether though.

Overall YOE should be more than 4.25.

Minimum eligibility is overall 4+ years if you are engineering graduate, otherwise 5+ years for non engineering background, at least 2 years in TCS and should not have C band in last appraisal cycle.... Junior promotion happens every quarter but cycles are not announced yet since January... Hope you have good track record in project and no fighting with lead, manager or any other anti tcs activities in project
