Promotion From C1 to C2
My lead told me that my name is shared for promotion C1 to C2 in the month of December 2023 but till now no update on that when I was checking with him on my promotion he just keep on saying that it's pending with CORP HR. Do any one got promoted from C1 to C2 recently that too the people who are working for Human client ...??
These are the criteria for promotion of C1 grade associates to C2:
- An associate should have spent 4 years in C1 grade. But even if you have completed your 3 years then you can be considered in special case. These years are counted from the day you join TCS.
- Last two years performance band should be A.
- Promotion cycle for C1 happens every quarter and your manager nominates your name and send it to the corporate.
- Corporate reviews the list of associates and processes the promotion and promotion letters are rolled out after quarterly results only.
- So, if you have completed your 3/4 years in this quarter then you have the right to ask your manager to nominate your name for promotion and by the blessing of God you might get it by next quarter only.
4 years overall experience or experience in TCS?
If you are C1 grade, then these criterias are for someone who joined TCS as fresher. For lateral entry associates who are still in C1 grade, im not sure what is the criteria for their promotion.
Its already been done and letters were out on 22nd jan
Some ppl have got promotion. Follow up rigorously with your manager and with also delivery manager if possible.
