Its been 2 quarters now, In every quarter my manager says you will get to know about your promotion at the end of this quarter end.
Will leave the organization immediately ones i get any opportunity.
After promotion it will be only 1k increase in salary even only for that i have to struggle and need to ask again and again for my promotion.
Promotion is not a god given right. Everyone eligible cannot be promoted. Else we should be having 100 CEOs by now. But at same time keep pestering your manager as only crying baby gets milk in infosys. Out of sight out of mind. Be realistic and see who your peers are and how you have performed against them and whether they have been promoted. At any given time there are only a few slots and higher you the slots become lesser and lesser. If you think your contributing immensely and are a commendable rated employee for more than 3 years and still stuck. Then quit. They might get your promotion to retain you.
Previous manager told me you will get promotion, After that i got released after projects tenure is over allocated new manager told me you will get to know about promotion soon, Is that may fault that i am getting released from one manager to another, one says your Promotion did not came through me one says let me confirm.
Asking what you deserve is not crying other ls getting promoted without even working for client never billable only fact is they are working with one manager from the beginning.
That’s called luck. If your new manager has a resource who has worked with him for multiple years and he has a choice between you and him. Manager will chose him. That’s is natural. The moment managers change clock is reset and you have to prove yourself again. So make sure you are visible on front of atleast 2 levels above above you . And never change units projects when you are about to get a promotion. I understand it’s unfair and you have no control if your manager quits or yur project ends but that’s life.
