Anybody here whose PA to A promotion got deferred for RTO non-compliance or any other reason?

Hello everyone, I wanted to share an issue I faced recently regarding my promotion being deferred due to RTO compliance in May 2024. I had submitted a medical certificate and received approval from my leaders to work from home during that period. Despite this, my manager received an email stating that my promotion was deferred because of RTO non-compliance. My manager argued with HR and senior management, explaining the situation and the medical approval I had received. However, HR responded by asking if they were involved in the initial approval process, which they were not. This situation raises a concern: if we receive approval from our leaders based on valid medical reasons, shouldn't they be responsible for ensuring HR is informed? It seems unfair that the responsibility falls on the employee, leading to consequences like deferred promotions. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? How was it resolved, and what steps did you take to prevent such issues in the future?

My promotion from A to SA is not approved because of RTO non-compliant for a few weeks in the last 3 months.

Same here my promotion also got deferred because of RTO non-compliance

My promotion was deferred I was supposed to be promoted to A from July. My manager told me he has nominated me for promotion but the HR declined my promotion because of RTO complaint criteria. Again I am eligible for this quarter but don't know whether I will be promoted because the HR don't tell us criteria they only approve or decline us. Hope you find this helpful.
