Promotion Cycle

As per my knowledge promotion cycles ends by 4th July. How can I know if my manager has sent my name to HR for consideration? He said he will recommend my name but honestly I don’t trust him. Currently I don’t know how to find out if he stood on his words or not. Can anyone help? Please.
