Promotion Criteria
What is the promotion criteria to get promotion from C1 to C2. Last year in April 2024, I was promoted to C1 from C1Y.

You you need to have three a bands or 3b bands and there should be project budget available to promote you and there should be a good impression on you for manager to recommend you for a promotion. So if everything goes well he will recommend your name to HR so this process happens twice in here and at that time if you manager recommends your name and the project budget is available then you are into this C2 and you will get some hike as well. if you are a digital candidate your incentive gets permanent like if you are getting 8 lakh your incentives get permanent and you will get hike it goes to 11 lakh per annum sometimes.
My manager is saying that there should be 2 years of gap between two promotions. Last year in 2024 I was promoted to C1 and now I have to wait one more year till 2026 and post that she'll be able to proceed with my promotion to C2.
Might be correct also I am not sure because if you are promoted to C1 this year mostly when we completed 2 years in the company then will automatically promoted to C1 then only 2 years has been completed right so you need to wait for more year to get another band so that you could meet criteria. My suggestion is that if your manager had good impression on you it's well but instead of waiting for a promotion just switch to other company because the situations wasn't good as earlier that is why
