Working on cognizant. Working as Associate. Got promoted october 2023, last two ratings are 5 and 4 respectively. Did one databricks associate cert last year. Planning for professional this year, also aiming for aws data engineer associate.
What is the eligibility criteria to get promoted to SA? What factors I should keep in mind?
Experienced people please suggest.
Each and every role can be bent provided situation permits. My manager got promoted to SM role in last October with less than 3 years in CTS.
So if something is not written and communicated thrn it can happen with proper explanation. Let's say you have created a dependency that can't be filled in next 5-6 months if you leave, then they will promote you.
Understood. Thanks for the input. Can I ask one more question here? I am planning for multiple global certifications. Will it have a impact? Databricks professional, aws data engineer these are on my list currently.
There is no minimum criteria ; but there should be 10% increase in your billability to consider for promotion
As per my knowledge the promotion criteria duration for A-SA has increased to 36 Months, check with your HCM supervisor. Also get confirmation from him regarding promotion. Usually there are lot of factors involved. Project budget is also 1 of them. Best of luck.
If they can not promote within project, Will they allocate new project once eligible?
