PROMOTION CL 12 TO 11

It's really heart breaking after completing 2.5 years on company I got this 14 % increment and 3.5% variable it's really.. making me laugh on myself for this I was waiting and curious and putting in a lot of efforts.

This is again a tricky thing, your VP/Bonus is less because you got increment, overall idea is to provide increment/promotions without incurring additional Cost to company, so they are paying less bonus/VP and adding that sum to your increment, so your feel that your Base salary is now higher, and you would work for next 12 months for the sake of getting increased salary, however if they Pay Bonus/VP that would be related to your Prior year earnings.
