First it should be initiated in system by your appraiser.. Once it is fully approved, then only you will get email..

I think in tcs upto C3A grade is fine..thereafter if you promoted higher then your are prone to being lay off when recession hits. Another thing is increasing salary more and more and working in low grade task/technology kills your growth and on that case you are more likely to ramped sown when billing issue comes in the project. These things i have noticed practically
