I was directly assigned to a project six weeks ago without undergoing an interview. However, the new project manager recently informed me that a technical interview would be required for onboarding. I had the interview last week, and the project manager promised to provide an update this week. When I inquired about the interview outcome, he stated that he needs to consult with the onsite manager. I'm uncertain about the status of my assignment to the project - will I be retained or released?
