Trending @Cognizant; Project release query

I have been recently released from a project and my bench start date is jan 8 . I have to look for other opportunities including preparing for interviews so I had to take leaves . But after taking 4 days leave in last 3 weeks I am being threatened that I will need to stay in the project for 2 more weeks because apparently there are more deliverables to complete . But actually there is no deliverables left in the team I am working in just execution of few test cases daily .I just got an opportunity outside based on my existing LWD now suddenly being threatened with extension of project is putting me in a really bad place . I think they just want to torture me mentally like this . I have literally begged them to not do this but I am worried about the same. Will the manager be able extend the project without my permission? And what else can I do ?
