Project release process in TCS ??

I want to take project release from my current project. From past 2.7 years I’m seeing constant extended hours working, weekend support even they are cancelling leaves. Pressurising for extending hours even in medical conditions.

I informed my manager i am getting burnout i need break from this. Initially he agreed and on the same day he requested to work on weekend to complete planning and etc.

I requested him to please release me from this project. But nothing happened on that… he just ignored such things.

Is there any way to get project release?

Stop working extra hours, tell him you can work extra hours. This is a professional environment, not slavery. There will be always work, but if you overwork and something happens to you, they will just hire someone else.

Bro they just don’t listen.. they literally threatened everyone to work for weekends and extra hours if not than they will give D band… i never thought such kind things will happen in TCS….

I feel you, since the bands are already out, you don’t have to worry about band for a year. If you are billable and you aren’t working, they won’t keep you in the project. Also keep a track of all communication in email, no one will ask to work extra hours on record. If they do, just ask respond to the email to confirm that if you work in this pace, you will be affected mentally and physically. If they still ask you to work on record, just forward it to top level HR. It’s had PR to ask employees to work and die for the company, they wont do it.

Bro project release in tcs is almost impossible so better resign in that case only they consider project release but if you get some good opportunity than just don't stay here else you will be fooled everytime by your manager and colleagues. Rest is upto you.

Stop working indirectly…delay the things to the point its possible. Ask supervisor to assign work on mails. Make it hard for them to take work from you. They will eventually release you.
