After dedicating 3 years to my current project — giving my best efforts, learning, and contributing consistently — I have recently found myself moved to a non-billable role over the past 3 months. Additionally, I received a 3 rating in my last appraisal.

I'm considering requesting a formal release from the project to explore better opportunities internally or externally. Any advice or suggestions from those who have navigated similar situations would be highly appreciated.
