Project release and reassignment

Hi, I am working with Cognizant for 3 years. In my currrent project due to some internal politics I don't like to continue further in this project. So, I am in need of release

If I get release and moved to other project if I got other company offer is it possible to put paper or is there any time to serve in the project atleast for some days
