Project Release

I am working as a Support Executive and have completed two years in my current project. When I joined, they informed me that two years was the maximum commitment they would request from an associate. Therefore, I am going to request a release from my project.

How should I approach my manager for a release? What are the common pitfalls to be aware of? And what is the procedure to follow?

Here's what I would suggest, first set up a 1 one 1 meeting, do the small talk like X it has been a great learning for me working in the team so and so and then mention the skills u learned. Then slowly shift the focus to your want to learn skills, like i aspire to learn Pyspark, and i think for that it is high time to look for a new project. you will be all good as your reason is personal development instead of client dissatisfaction or disputes
