Project release
Since tcs implemented a new bench policy. Is it a safe to take a release from the project.
I want to take release becoz I am in a support project with heavy work load, toxic environment and micro management.
I don't even get time to learn or practice my primary skills to switch from this company.

from exactly the same situation I am going through

Have you asked your manager for release.

Yes , twice during my arguments with them at the time of any escalation . I tell them that if you guys feel that I am not upto the mark and not performing well then replace me with a better resource and please release me. They make excuses by saying ok.. till the time you are in our project please try not to get any escalation

I also asked for release in April.. and surprisingly my manager agreed. But I asked her to give me some more time because I am not prepared currently and have some other things going on.
I would say ask for release when you know what tech stack you want to work in. And do some courses on it on ievolve

What is a good way to approach a manager for release. Should I send an email, call him or go in person and tell him??

Ask for release and try to study 1-2 hours daily so that when you get release after some months, you will be in position to crack the interview and join some good project in tcs.Don't wait and ask for release. There are many good development in tcs but you need to prepare well and pass the interview to join such project

Yes, I think that will help me. Thanks for the advice.
