I got allocated to a project today and received the hardlock mail.but the project roll off date is in May 2025 so does the project roll off date changes or is there any possibility that this project is for 1 month only.

You can check with the manager or PMO, only they can clarify.
They might have put an initial lock so that another project does not engage you.
If it is an internal project, it could be possible that it is for 1 month.
