I was on the probation period and on the 5th month I got a letter of confirmation in CG. I will be completing 6 Months in Feb 2026.
I am currently in a very toxic project and it is affecting my health more.
I am thinking of 2 possibilities
- Planning to resign without any offer in the current month only as I am losing confidence in myself at this toxic work place. I have not visited the office since December 2025 without any exception.
- or I can take a break of 1-2 months because of my health concerns. But I am worried that after break management put me in the same project. (Currently I don't have any dependency on the project as I joined 5 months back )
I need to know if there is any possibility that if I can take a break then I can be removed from this current project ? Then I can plan for a break otherwise I can put papers without any offer.

Try to get a release from project and then search another project. Sabbatical leaves are subject of reason why do you actually need it. So speak with your line hr and try to get released yourself from project. Moreover if you are a billable resource in project then it might be difficult to get a release
Actually i have discussed it with my manager and N+1. He told me that, I am having C1 grade so it is difficult to get release from project. And because of toxicity, i am having more health issues. My doctor asked me to take a long break and try to figure out something that can help my health condition.
And because of that I am planning to take a long leaves based on my medical problems.
From CG , I am not getting proper guidance from my manager. He asked me to continue in the same toxic project for 18 months and then try to switch internally.
U can take sabatical leave
You should speak to your manager or n+1 for the release of the project with proper reasons. if your pm or supervisor is a person with whom you can speak comfortably, you can also discuss your concerns and new projects and roles within the same account. Otherwise you can get a new project once you are on the bench.
I discussed it with my manager and N+1. But I am not getting proper guidance. They asked me to deal with it as of now. Asked me to work on the same project as my grade is C1. It is difficult to change the Project. They are not allowing me.
I am not sure if I will be on medical leave will they release me from this project?
Just take the release and tell that you are not interested in the project just maintain it professionally and come on the bench. And try to prepare for a switch or other internal project. I did the same 5 months back .

I suggest instead of resigning try to show some resistance first. Slow down the speed of your work let it fall apart and don't answer calls after work time. It would be wiser to first search for a job while in the project. In the bench I assume they would pressurize you to get into another toxic project. If you take sabbatical that would be equivalent to resignation as no point in joining back after that.
What do you mean toxicity bro in project? Can you explain what you have faced ?
