After 18 months you can try IJP. They do not have a say in release date if you are selected

IJP selection email has the release date. Account cannot hold you beyond that. They might try and coax you but you can be firm

You can ask for release but the reason should Be to the point but change iff you will release from project possible or through ijp also possible but for ijp it is mandatory that you should be in the project for 18 month
