How to change a project and what is the process to change a project from support and monitoring to development, if they are not releasing and telling to give you PIP. I have worked for more than 2 years in the same project.
You can ask your supervisor to release you and set roll off date from current project if you are not okay with it. They should be releasing you.
I have been released from project but now forced to join project in growth market itself. I had been cleared a project for NA but manager and leadership not allowing even for loan. :(
I can feel you same happened with me they just tried to placed me internally giving me promise that I will get promotion in coming June and I will get good project after few months if I accept this project they given me and unfortunately I can't do anything about this as well. But you can fight with them politely saying I want some other project if you think you will get and if there are chances
You can try reaching out to any of the senior manager in a development project. Try comvincing them why you are a good fit and you got the skills to do the work. They will pull you to project, if you successfully convince them.
