Trending @Infosys; Project change

Hello everyone. I have been working on a project for the past 5-6 months. The learning opportunity was not much in this project. So, I networked with people and found a vacancy in another project which aligns with my career goals. Can I change my project or get released from my current project. I am not sure how to move forward with this. Please help. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

You are eligible for ijp. If you go through Ijp, The current manager can release you after 3 months. So first negotiate with your current manger and request for early release . If he agrees for early release
Then: Speak with new unit manger and ask for the process to get into that project. some clients take interviews, if you clear then only they will take you to the project. if there is no interview, they can assess you and give feedback. If you receive postive feedback, ask them to create a dummy ijp and apply for it and then move it. Please note, movemnt from one vertical to another vertical required both DMs approval.

I have only completed 6 months in the organisation. I think for IJP min. 18 months are required. The unit is going to be the same but different project. This project I got to know from a colleague of mine. So I have given interview and cleared it also. Now that manager is asking to get released from the current project.

With in unit differnt project ijp is not required. Speak with current manger and ask for release. Dont want to make you upset, chances are very less for relase. Client also has to aggree for release. Some clients will escalate and impose penality(rare cases).
